WWT's Integration Technology Center teams work in a climate-controlled production environment with advanced networking, secure remote access, and certified procedures specifically designed for staging, kitting and configuring the latest advanced technology solutions. The team consists of certified engineers with logistical and technical expertise to help reduce the risk, cost and complexity of IT deployments.

What will you be doing? The supervisor will work with internal partners and customers to provide qualified staff for our North American Integration Center (NAIC) services engagements. Additionally, the supervisor will be responsible for developing a strategy and plan to handle future growth in the various technical verticals through resource capacity planning, training, and process improvement. The successful supervisor will also provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the engineers as they execute their assigned engagements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Promote the World Wide Technology Core Values and Corporate Goals
  • Provide staffing and utilization management for integration center service engagements
  • Perform resource capacity planning for the pipeline of engineering engagements
  • Coach and mentor engineering staff on best practices
  • Serve as the engineering escalation path for Program Management, PS, and Sales support teams
  • Maintain bi-weekly one on one meetings with each direct report
  • Interview candidates and provide feedback to management.
  • Complete performance evaluations for engineering personnel
  • Evaluate processes and recommend changes to drive higher quality and greater efficiency
  • Monitor and meet daily, weekly and monthly Production and Budgetary goals.
  • Interface with Production Scheduling to determine schedules to maintain resource capacity optimization
  • Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required
  • Scale labor and meet forecast demands through effective scheduling and assignment of employees.
  • Ensure achievement of Customer requirements through effective solution execution
  • Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements
  • Ensures the Engineering staff is qualified and adequately trained.
  • Make business decisions around headcount, expenses, and overtime in order to perform appropriate cost scaling.
  • Complete employee assessments to include individual development plans, short term goals and long-term goals.
  • Conforms with quality control audits and coordinates corrective actions as needed.
  • Research customer impacting issues at a level to be able to provide root cause and corrective action.
  • Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities.
  • Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team
  • Effectively collaborates with cross functional teams to escalate issue resolution, share production status, and other instances as required by the business and daily goals.
  • Liaise and communicate with other departments and ensure an effective interface is maintained
  • Ensure appropriate cleanliness, organization and compliance with Safety, ISO and TL9000 requirements.
  • Serve as the engineering escalation path for Program Management, PS, and Sales support teams
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 1-year prior experience managing projects, engineering teams, or technical staff in a project execution capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in technology and/or minimum of 3 years experience in the information technology field with at least 1 year specializing in configuring and supporting the integration of enterprise network and storage solutions or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting issues on a Cisco network.
  • Familiarity with network design fundamentals, and initial setup and configuration tasks associated with common OEMs such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper, etc.
  • Understanding of server platforms
  • Basic understanding of hardware platforms, such as HP Blade chassis, and HP standalone servers, Cisco UCS B and C series, Cisco WAVE, and WAS.
  • Familiarity with Local and Wide Area Networks and Data Communications including the internet, DHCP, and DNS.
