DescriptionThe expanding accounting department at Accountemps is looking to find qualified candidates to fill the role of an entry-level Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for data entry, financial statement review, and Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation. As part of a dynamic team, you will report to the Accounting Manager and have an opportunity for career growth. You could thrive in this position if you love Excel, maintain a positive attitude, and are open to an entry-level accounting position. For this short-term temporary position, you should be willing to work in Elmhurst, Illinois.Responsibilities
Make monthly journal entries
Researching and rectifying account discrepancies
Making sure that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct
Enter data
Helping with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
Executing alternate duties and partaking in special projects as assigned
Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Requirements
Less than one year of experience preferred
Proven knowledge of Accrual Entries
Microsoft Excel experience
Experience with Account Coding
Expertise in Excel Formulas
Well-founded grasp of accruals
SAP experience
Accounting Functions experience
Outstanding data entry skills
Applicants are recommended to hold an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
