Please reply with an updated resume in Microsoft Word format What you need to know: You will be the senior person on this team reporting up to the Hiring Manager. The Hiring Manager is looking for their successor when they are promoted. This client is looking for someone who has experience with Automation, AWS, CloudFormation, Linux, Red Hat, and Ansible Tower(AWX). They have a 70% Linux and 30% Windows environment. This is not a greenfield environment but will need help getting to the next established step. An Engineer that understands Microsoft and networking would be a huge plus. Purpose of the Role: Responsible for leading a collaborative effort to deliver scalable, highly available technical solutions to help meet or exceed the goals and objectives. This position has responsibility for all aspects of architecture, implementation, and operational support of these systems. This includes, but is not limited to, security and compliance, network and server infrastructure and production support activities. Key Responsibilities:- Architect/upgrade/maintain our Windows stack (30%) and related technologies
- Architect/upgrade/maintain our Linux stack (70%) and related technologies
- Architect/upgrade/maintain our infrastructure (compute, storage, network)
- Resolve discovered vulnerabilities in the environment
- Expert in troubleshooting complex technical issues including in-depth packet capture analysis, root cause analysis, automation, and cloud configuration
- Pro-active monitoring of system related components focused on availability, performance, and optimizations
- Creating, maintaining, and validating infrastructure related documentation, flows and diagrams
- Active member of our DevOps/Cloud Ops team, managing our virtual Infrastructure with emphasis on infrastructure-as-code.
- Continuous development of our automation practice leveraging Ansible and CF
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate professional to all levels within the organization
- Infrastructure availability and improvement to safeguard availability
- Adherence and development of infrastructure and security standards
- Reduction in reoccurring issues by proper RCA
- On-time completion of projects
