Kelly® Engineering is seeking a skilled Senior Field Service Technician for a direct-hire position with a leading provider of industrial automation equipment and systems for the packaging industry in Glenwood, IL! Pay Rate:$30.00 - $35.00 per hourOverviewOur client designs and manufactures custom container handling equipment. They specialize in providing solutions for managing, orienting, and conveying containers of various shapes and sizes to improve packaging line efficiency and productivity for diverse industries.The Senior Field Service Technician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair container handling machinery and automation equipment at client sites to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.Primary Responsibilities:
Travel to customer locations to measure, install, evaluate, troubleshoot, or repair equipment, with additional hourly compensation for service hours.
Collaborate with the Assembly team to gain in-depth knowledge of our products and the specifics of container handling.
Partner with customers' on-site production technicians and engineers to ensure machinery operates smoothly, upholding our high standards of customer service.
Develop, follow, and maintain standardized processes for recording field activities such as machine adjustments, necessary alterations, rework requirements, and customer requests.
Adhere to in-house processes for machine assembly.
Collect necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials, and assemble components and machines; interpret and understand engineering prints; conduct thorough and methodical testing of machinery.
Work with engineers to communicate progress and suggest improvements or modifications to parts, assemblies, or components.

Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent certification for technical school plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in assembling various mechanical machines and components is preferred.
Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for machines and their functions; ability to read assembly prints is essential.
Proficient in using and navigating various technological tools, including computers, smartphones, FaceTime, Skype, recording videos, and participating in WebEx sessions.
Friendly and approachable demeanor, as this role often serves as the sole representative of the company to customers.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing plant environment and adhering to plant sanitation standards.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able and willing to travel to customer facilities up to 70%
Must possess a current and valid driver's license.
