- The Director of IT Applications provides strategic and tactical leadership and works in collaboration with the senior IT management team to deliver an integrated information technology vision.
- Manages and supports all aspects of the maintenance, development, enhancement and expansion of the application systems to improve business processes and support critical business strategies.
- Leads projects and supervises a staff of developers.
- Supervise the various phases of applications systems analysis, development, coordination, implementation, and documentation ensuring that user applications and sub-system activities are compatible with total system objectives.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Tasks include reconciliation of conflicts within and between staff regarding resources, deadlines, and standards; and the resolution of the most difficult computer and applications related problems.
- Work is performed, and administrative and technical decisions are made, with considerable independence.
- Ensures that appropriate controls exist, that processing is efficient and accurate, and that information systems procedures comply with corporate standards.
- Supervises technical personnel, both internal and external, involved in the development of new applications and/or maintenance and operation of existing information technology systems;
- Develop the IT staff to meet the changing needs of the business and users, new projects and technologies.
- Supervises multiple applications through development and support phases;
- Effectively manage and implement IT projects on time and on budget through a disciplined program management approach.
- Facilitate IT Governance process in coordination with senior management, participate in planning for future business needs.
- Collaborate with business teams to continuously evolve our systems with a focus on supporting increased sales and profitability
- Reviews computer programming techniques and performance compliance to standards;
- Reviews the designs of computer applications to ensure that all requirements are satisfied;
- Act strategically to consolidate and leverage existing applications to streamline business processes and reduce overhead.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and all users of information services and systems.
- Develop and maintain systems and staff performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

- Demonstrated technical competence with the latest technologies (Power BI/Tableau, SQL Server, .Net, Cloud, Devops, Mobility & Security).
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of technical staff, to work with the Executive Management of an organization, and to manage multiple, concurrent projects.
- Possess a high level of business acumen with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

- Possess strong problem-solving skills, lean six sigma methodologies and a focus on operational metrics that will increase performance and stability.
- Successful integration experience with mergers and acquisitions.
- Proven program and project management skills, including Agile Scrum.

- Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of progressive IT management experience in Applications Development and Business Intelligence, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Business Applications (CRM, ERP/Syspro, and SharePoint)
- Experience selecting and managing commercially available software
- Experience supporting critical operations and management in a complex e-commerce environment and provide scalable infrastructure services.
- Extended periods of sitting up to 50% of the time.
- Constantly operating computers and office equipment.
