Seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong understanding of business operations for great direct-hire opportunity with reputable company. Will be responsible for managing the data analytics for strategic projects for supply chain and sales groups providing key reports for Sales/Purchasing/Inventory management across the division. The position will involve working with multiple data resources to gather, analyze and report on the data to company management. The position will eventually include managing 1-2 data analyst down the road.This position is responsible for managing the daily data analysis activities including sales reporting, customer maintenance, pricing, vendor rebate, writing contracts, and the administration of lease programs, surcharges, rebates, product performance, profitability, industry trends, and market share. Will work with data from SAP and Salesforce and use SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, MS Access and other toolsThis position is hybrid, based out of Hanover Park, IL
Responsibilities- Interact with users, managers and IT staff in relation to SAP and related systems. This includes testing of changes, regression testing for other company divisions, as well as training, documentation, and recommending alternative solutions
- Collaborate with other company divisions, IT staff, and relevant departments to gather business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, produce appropriate documentation, and actively participate in development of technical solutions
- Clearly articulate the company and department's vision and objectives to team members
- Lead a variety of operational efficiency projects, oversee project team members, and collaborate with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects/programs
- Analyze new business system development and existing systems for improvements and for solution proposals
- Serve as a subject matter expert for SAP system related projects and help manage functional Subject Matter Experts for projects of all sizes.
- Provide management/user reports involving Sales, Purchasing, and Inventory on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
- Provide reporting required by businesses for accuracy, monitoring, comparison, and analysis
- Develop key sales-tooling features, programs, analysis, and reports using a variety of systems including BI, SQL, Salesforce.com, and SAP
- Review user submitted system issues for resolution, training, or potential submission to IT
- Resolve escalated issues as third level support for operations and supply chain processes within business systems (SAP, B/I, and associated interfaces)
- Provide master data files to IT for use in extended business applications (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Maintain special security access to ensure execution of key transactions in order to keep business systems running smoothly and efficiently (including addressing any incomplete or incorrect information)
- Manage, implement, and support all Business System Interfaces including Supplier/Customer EDI, Customer Web order system, Mobile consignment, Customer Price and Equipment Quoting
- 3+ years of experience data analysis within business operations (Sales, Supply Chain, Inventory)
- 2+ years of experience/working knowledge of SAP
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Experience with database reporting tools
- Good time management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
- Effective interpersonal skills and strong cross-functional teamwork skills

- BS/BA degree strongly preferred
