SummaryThis position is located within the Business Resource Service of the VA National Acquisition Center, Hines, Illinois and provides a wide range of organizational and support activities to management and staff within the facility.ResponsibilitiesProvides analytical support to the Chief and subordinate staff; Reviews post-award recommendations and findings to compile data for trend analysis; Compiles various reports showing findings; Recommends methods for both improving and simplifying working procedures; Utilizes computer software to create flow charts, spreadsheets and other correspondence to present statistical data; Plans and prepares meetings including developing agenda items, materials for distribution and notification of attendees; Tracks and maintains files for projects in progress and other administrative files; Receives acquisition packages, logs and tracks assignments; Performs database management and data analysis; Provides timely, courteous service to external and internal customers; Performs other related duties as assigned. Specialized experience includes: performing analytical, evaluative, and advisory work; managing and coordinating administrative services essential to the effective operation of a program; providing improvement recommendations; preparing a variety of reports, forms, and correspondence. NOTE: Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. OR EDUCATION: Successful completion of a master's degree or two (2) full years of graduate level education leading to such a degree in a related field of study that demonstrates your ability to perform the duties of this position. This education must have been obtained at an accredited college or university. NOTE: If you select this option, you must submit a copy of your transcript with your application. OR COMBINATION: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate-level education (beyond the first year) and specialized experience, as described above, which meet the total experience requirements for this grade level. It involves the frequent use of office equipment, copier, personal computer, printer and fax machine. Some work may require standing for short periods of time. The work environment is fast paced and, at times, highly stressful. Work is performed in an office environment.
