Coordinates the development of pharmacy information systems.

Identifies system needs, performs system maintenance, trouble shoots system failures and provides education and training to staff.

Creates and generates reports and spreadsheets that capture and analyze data from various pharmacy applications.

Develops processes and technology designed to enhance patient safety.

Coordinates training of staff on proper use, application and security of all computer systems used by the pharmacy department and acts as a system expert and trainer for all computer systems used by the department.

BSPharm, MSPharm or PharmD

Minimum 2 years of experience as informaticist required

Minimum 5 years of experience as hospital pharmacist

Must be knowledgeable on pharmacy hardware, software, database, and clinical applications

Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office software

Cerner, Meditech and/or Epic experience required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

IL Registered Pharmacist license or eligible to be licensed in the state of Illinois. Must obtain IL Pharmacist license within an agreed upon timeframe.
