Job Duties/Essential Functions
  • Acts as a Delivery Lead on large, complex projects with broad scope and systems dependencies
  • Assembles the team of product managers, engineering, QA and others to execute the software project
  • Demonstrates consistency in driving the process to ensure software is being developed that meets the customer need
  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile), effectively applies these to projects, and enforces project standards to ensure that great software / experiences are rapidly developed
  • Drives reviews with the team and key stakeholders / users, with an emphasis on reviewing working code, to ensure code development is on track
  • Tracks the exact status of assigned projects at all stages
  • Works with the project team to continuously update dates, scope, status, and documentation so that the latest project status is clearly understood
  • Demonstrates an understanding of systems impacting assigned projects, adding consistent value in identifying and resolving technical dependencies and risks as well as influencing the design of projects.
  • Proactively contributes business thinking to the project - demonstrates a good understanding of and champions the end-user to ensure the software meets associated needs
  • Where funding is needed, manages the process of scoping and budgeting for the effort toward getting a closed Statement of Work (SOW) within two weeks of project initiation

Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/CertificationsRequired:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline: Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in ecommerce, consumer Internet, web services, or software planning & development
  • Core skills in communications & collaboration, drive for results, technical aptitude, and business acumen, as recognized by others
  • Track record of designing and executing software projects that bring value quickly to customers.
  • Proficiency in industry standard project management software such as Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
