DescriptionA client in the South Suburbs is looking for an experienced Front Desk Manager in the Dental field.

Ensure continuous training to all new hires (operational procedures, customer service, and HIPPA compliance), and competent supervision and evaluation for all reporting staff members.

Ensure employees with appropriate skills are assigned to designated offices.

Oversee assigned offices; key role in managing the office/desk managers ensuring effective quality care.

Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

Develop and communicate clear performance standards and expectations, give timely feedback, and counsels as needed.

Ensure development of Front Desk Managers and Desk Associates. Initiate and participate in continuous quality improvement task forces.

Staff and schedule in an operational appropriate and cost-effective manner. Plan and adjust assignments according to need and budget.

Resolve patient complaints in a timely manner and creatively avoid problems by anticipating, recognizing, and evaluating potential difficulties.

Oversee Dentalvision and maintain all updates in coordination with others on the management team.

Oversee patient charts or like Dentalvision records for the local offices to ensure compliance with medical record requirements.

Provide communication of pertinent patient data between interdisciplinary staff, referral source, and Practice Administrator and document changes in patient’s Plan of Care as needed.

Plan in advance for new and changing personnel needs.

Supervise the maintenance of a balance work caseload and organize the flow of work utilizing staff appropriately.

Log all patient complaints in utmost professional manner and directs complex matters to Administrator for follow-up.

Supervise in-service and training programs for staff.

Provide supervision and support to office staff, performance evaluation, and standard reporting processes including performance appraisal and disciplinary action.

Perform employee hiring process in conjunction with the Human Resources Department and verify all new hires meet the local office requirements.

Insure infection control policies and safety policies are being adhered to.

RequirementsA high school degree required and bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong knowledge of Operations is essential with one (1) to two (2) years management experience required and two (2) to five (5) years preferred. Solid understanding of customer service and quality care is also a must. Proficiency in Word and Excel is necessary. Clear written and verbal communications. Organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner. Good time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
