Job Description
In In close collaboration with VP Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure Leader, under general direction of the CTO, the Cloud & Infrastructure architect should have in-depth technical expertise and be proficient with delivering well architected cloud foundational services in the following capability areas, e.g. (SaaS), (PaaS), (DaaS), (IaaS), and Development as Service. This individual will be involved with strategic and tactical planning to align the use of cloud technologies to application architectures as well as aide in the direction and establishment of an enabling ecosystem. In addition, the cloud platform architect will also act as a catalyst and driver to ensure application modernization best practices approaches are considered and followed. They will research and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations for changes that would enhance the platform in collaboration with Platform/Product Owners and Infrastructure Leader.§Reviews and makes recommendations on platform architecture including Cloud storage, cloud-based delivery including: (SaaS), (PaaS), (DaaS), (IaaS), and Development as Service§Demonstrating expert knowledge in private, public and hybrid cloud architecture, networking, workload types, migration patterns and tools.§Deep understanding of cloud architecture, design patterns, cloud operations and cloud cost models with hands-on ability to implement best practices or suggest improvements.§Advocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including on-premise and public cloud platforms, tools, and system§Convert business and technical requirements into well documented architecture and design that will guide the final implementation and product.§Ensure the design and implementation adherence to MDLZ standards, controls, policies and procedures.P-erform POC with engineering and other enterprise teams to ensure that the right technologies are being built and meet requirements.-Work with other members of the team, including DevOps engineers and developers to implement efficient end-to-end provisioning of automation solutions that integrate shared technology platforms with application workloads in cloud.-Develop a library of deployable and documented design patterns. -Define MDLZ's cloud technology platform standards, contribute to cloud governance and manage the cloud technology portfolio.-Remain current on IT trends pertaining to their area of practice (e.g., Public Cloud, Agile, DevOps, Microservices).-Research validate and architect solutions using a micro-services-based architecture.-Collaborating with product management, IT architect and business users.-Provide thought leadership in cloud technologies.Ability to work with managed services provider to support cloud activities.Key Skills - Expert level ability to function in a consultative capacity to provide guidance and architecture assessments to internal stakeholders. In depth knowledge of virtualization, Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as code, messaging platform, Storage / RDBMS and No-SQL databases. Experience like AWS and/or Azure preferred. Good understanding on security implications in the cloud operating model. Knowledge of design patterns specifically for distributed computing. Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals. Experience developing formal and standard ways of communicating technology roadmaps and diagrams to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Optimize cost of cloud solutions by identifying waste and automating cloud cost management. Lead the development of technical artifacts including Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), Detailed Technical Design, Security Architecture Plan, Services Description Document, etc. Communicate effectively through strong written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Drive integration with other enterprise systems and third-party vendor products/services. Assess emerging technologies, stay abreast of industry trends, and give advice on investments prices versus performanceRequires BS/BA in Computer Science or related field or equivalent platform experience. At least 10-15 years' experience in the design, delivery and maintenance of Infrastructure. At least 5 years of recent experience architecting and developing applications and/or solutions in the cloud using cloud native technologies preferably in AWS or Azure public cloud.
