We have created a new Maintenance Manager role as we are investing in our organization! As our Maintenance Manager you will manage and streamline all plant maintenance, manage the plant's physical assets, plant services, utilities, and general facilities operation/maintenance, and coach/support the Maintenance Supervisors and Maintenance employees. You will have a voice in defining our vision, mission, and values for continuous improvement in maintenance management systems and maintenance metrics to achieve the plant goals, You will provide the leadership to create a shift in process reliability through the implementation of predictive and preventive systems, work ID systems, planning, scheduling, and performance follow up.Location:1401 N. Hobbie Avenue, Kankakee, IL 60901Maintenance Manager Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 (Gr. 12/13)How you’ll contribute to the team:

Manage your organization. Guide and coach team members on policies. Help find solutions to non-routine personnel problems.

Lead a process reliability transformation by implementing predictive and preventive maintenance systems, work ID systems, planning, scheduling, and performance follow-up.

Develop department goals to align with Plant, Corporate and Operational goals. Formulates short and long-term objectives to align with plant and operational strategy in areas such as process manufacturing, process improvement, best cost, asset management, project management, new product and new process development.

Inspire team to generate ideas and plans to meet objectives. Hold everyone accountable for effective implementation.

Drive overall financial objectives by preparing the annual maintenance budget ($3-4M), schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective action.

Design, implement, and modify preventive maintenance programs by reviewing production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics; inspecting operating machines, equipment, and systems for conformance with operations standards.

Keep management and other departments updated your department projects and priorities.

Maintains relationships with other manufacturing locations to benchmark best practices and share technology.

Oversee maintenance stores.

Maintain relationships with Corporate Engineering and Project Engineers.

RequirementsWhat you'll bring to the table:

Mechanical Engineering degree, Electrical Engineering degree, Industrial Engineering Degree; Bachelor's is required.

8+ years' of experience in maintenance management and engineering projects.

Demonstrated success implementing and maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance programs with proven success in increasing reliability, reducing downtime, and reducing costs.

Demonstrated success in developing and instituting maintenance best practices with clearly defined metrics that drive performance.

Must possess excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization and a strong record of leading teams.

Background in managing capital improvement projects, including developing requests and schedules, handling vendor selection, and managing the project from start to finish.
