Job Title: Business Data Analyst Location: Lake County, IL(Remote flexible)Duration: 12+ months

Job Description:• Uses appropriate tools to collect, correlate and analyze data for use in (1) improving team and individual quality and productivity, and (2) to aid in the optimization of current business practices and (3) understand the impact of changes, improvements, or projects on team performance. Prepares written reports, analysis of work using charts, graphs, process flows and other visual tools. Applies and executes standard information systems theories, concepts and techniques.

Responsibilities:• Determines approach and solutions to problems when issue is within scope of own ability.• Applies analytical thinking skills to diagnose and make recommendations on system and, or work process flows. Incorporates knowledge of business and technology to make recommendations. Translates data gathered from user discussions into business requirements. Identifies business/system needs and recommends solutions. Assists with the testing strategies and develops preliminary findings.• Partners with Project Management, core business teams to create project documents, project plans, implementation timeline and success criteria.• Partners with business to analyze processes and needs and makes recommendations that are most effective means to satisfy those needs. Analyses the most complex work procedures and job methods and presents concepts to simplify those procedures.• Work is performed and technical decisions are made with a clear partnership with SMEs in the business. As a result, a strong understanding of the business is required.• Works effectively with team/group to accomplish organizational goals. Actively participates in client or team meetings by offering suggestions. Provides leadership to project planning.• Monitors and organizes the efforts of technical and business support staff. Manages projects according to milestones and completes tasks assigned by more experienced analysts and managers. Guides the efforts of less experienced staff.

Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience to demonstrate technical equivalency• 1-3 years of business analysis preferred• Experience developing and generating reports and process flows to maximize efficiency• Experience with continuous improvement, Lean concepts preferred• Project Management experience a plus What are the top 5 skills/requirements this person is required have?• Data Analytics• Project Management and experience with operations, process flows• Excel & PowerPoint proficient• Communication• Experience with systems & reports… such as Salesforce, Cognos, QlickSense 4 year degree, with 1-3 years of experience Note: This is not necessarily an all-inclusive list of job-related responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements, or working conditions.
