Audit LiaisonRequisition Number: 407715 Location: Lemont, ILFunctional Area: Accounting and Finance Division: FMP-Financial Management and Procurement ServicesEmployment Category: Regular Shift: 8:30 - 5:00Level (Grade): PA3 Share: Facebook LinkedIn TwitterArgonne National Laboratory seeks applications from talented and highly motivated individuals to fill an Audit Liaison role.This role functions as a key member of the Financial Management and Procurement Services (FMPS) team that is responsible for ensuring adherence to contract terms, Laboratory policies, and federal regulations. The Audit Liaison supports the FMPS financial compliance program and efforts by managing data request for audit engagements, identifying internal control gaps and assisting with the mitigation of issues. This role works with the Compliance Lead serving as data collection coordinator for internal and external audit engagements and Department Of Energy data calls.Responsibilities include:

Completing data requests from receipt, to research and review, data consolidation, to response and tracking.

Using the financial system and other key support systems to support audit needs.

Assisting with compliance reporting, data mining and analysis, and corrective action reporting.

Assisting with facilitating audit schedules and meetings.

Supporting compliance issues as necessary, such as developing internal control design and effective assessment project plans.

Connecting resources to find solutions, and documenting resolutions and remediation plans.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with business partners and acts as a liaison between departments supporting the audit scope.

Contributing to identifying enhancements to the internal control environment and process improvement of FMPS functions.

Representing the Assurance Manager on working groups and supports the implementation of corrective actions and process improvements where necessary.

Building and maintaining positive working relationships at all levels across the organization.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Skill and experience in the conduct of all aspects of financial compliance and awareness.

Working knowledge in the complete accounting cycle with the ability to understand financial information and processes.

Considerable attention to detail and quality, organization skills, the ability to work on multiple, high priority reviews and assessments, while being flexible to address changing priorities.

Demonstrated broad analytical skills including the ability to make assessments based upon current facts.

Strong, project management skills.

Ability to develop plans and implement actions that meet the needs of the organization within time and/or resource constraints.

Must demonstrate a working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other government and financial regulations.

Exemplary oral and written communication skills. Must possess the ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships and communicate problems and solutions to workers, management and audit performers.

Ability to work using tact, diplomacy, discretion, and proven ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to coordinate initiatives, collaborate with others, and achieve goals under minimal supervision.

Ability to deliver service with a customer-focused, quality mindset

Knowledge of Argonne National Laboratory, Department of Energy, and federal government financial regulations and contract requirements is desired.

Knowledge of various financial management systems and associated software applications. Workday Financials is preferred.

Strong understanding of federal government regulatory compliance and audit support requirements.
