Senior Compensation AnalystRequisition Number: 407730 Location: Lemont, ILFunctional Area: Human Resources Division: HRS-Human Resource ServicesEmployment Category: Regular Shift: 8:30 - 5:00Level (Grade): PA3 Share: Facebook LinkedIn TwitterOur Human Resources division (HRS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Compensation Analyst who will be responsible for a wide scope of activities associated with the development, implementation and communication of compensation and awards programs and policies.In this role, you will:

Lead the analysis and administration of all internal employee award and recognition programs.

Be involved in projects that range in scope from specific solutions for existing reward programs to contributing to the review, assessment, improvement and execution of all internal reward and recognition programs.

Conduct research and benchmarking studies, assess current practices, and develop and recommend innovative enhancements that recognize, reward and retain world class employees and support Argonne’s strategic agenda.

Partner with management and HR deployed team by providing compensation expertise and ensures compliance with applicable federal and state employment and compensation laws and prime contract requirements.

Prepare and deliver communication material and develop and implement compensation training.

Work with Workday team to ensure system meets ongoing program needs.

We expect you to have:

Experience working with/managing employee award and recognition programs and policies preferred.

Contemporary knowledge of compensation data analytics with ability to tell a story when presenting new compensation ideas to senior leaders.

Advanced knowledge and understanding of compensation, techniques, standards, processes, and systems.

Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills; able to analyze complex problems and devise viable solutions.

Ability to work with and influence others effectively at all levels of management and staff internally and externally.

Advanced proficiencies with analytical and presentation tools, e.g, MS Excel and PowerPoint including ability to create macros.

Strong skills in the design and delivery of compensation communication and training materials.

Knowledge of and experience interpreting regulatory requirements and relevant human resources state and federal laws.

B.S. level (Human Resources Management or equivalent disciplines) with a minimum of four years of compensation experience. CCP desired.

Experience in a government contractor, higher education or nonprofit entity a plus.
