Description: Per Intake Call: 4 month assignment with intent to convert candidate with the right credentials. Must be local -Do not submit candidates that are not local to the facility. Lincolnshire, IL Essential duties and Responsibilities: Perform upgrades of existing network, servers, access points, switches, controller. Setup new network, servers, access points, switches, controller. Performing complex network, Bluetooth packet analysis. Diagnose and resolve network issues Create design and tests plan for network capabilities. Complete test projects in a timely manner. Receives assignments as objectives, priorities, and deadlines. Establish networking environment by designing system configuration and system installation Troubleshoots network problems Establishes network performance Updates servers and network equipment's Test and troubleshoot 802.11 wireless LAN products (WiFi) Validation of WLAN modules (Access points/stations) Validation of Bluetooth Classic and BTLE features Run Bluetooth interoperability and functional tests using Android/iOS devices Plans and carries out successive steps and resolves problems and deviations in accordance with instructions, policies, and accepted practices. Works on a full range of problems of moderate scope that require selection and/or modification of existing procedures and processes Validation of IEEE 802.11 protocols Wireless and Network Security protocols Enterprise Security testing (security:802.1x, Radius Authentication, WPA2, etc) Network data collection with wireless traffic generator and simulation tools such as Chariot, controller/AP simulator. Perform Wireless analysis and troubleshooting using various tools such as WireShark, OmniPeek. Perform Bluetooth trace analysis using Bluetooth sniffer or protocol analyzer Troubleshoot and perform network hardware configuration, LAN, WiFi Design, implement and troubleshoot network hardware configuration, LAN, WiFi infrastructure Qualifications Minimum Qualification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering 5+ years minimum experience in Software Engineering Field (Networking and Testing) Experienced Wireless and Network Security protocols Proficient with computers and experienced with basic software tools Effective oral and written communication skills Preferred Qualification Good planning and organizational skills Working knowledge of lab equipment Understanding of software testing methodologies Knowledge of Python or similar scripting is a plus Knowledge with test automation is a plus CCNP, CCNA, CompTIA or similar certification is plus
