Job Description:
  • Ensure all IT infrastructure components and devices deliver applications and information to end-users and other applications and external systems as required by the business to delight the internal and external customer.
  • Ensure business systems are available, reliable, and secure during all required operational hours.
  • Execute small infrastructure projects and resolve complex problems to improve the IT processes and technologies that support the global technologies and applications.
  • Work effectively and pro-actively as a senior infrastructure technician with the business community, external vendors, IT applications analysts and other IT colleagues
  • Contribute to the development of cohesive and cost-effective systems architecture and security and control of company IT assets.

The Ideal Candidate will:
  • Proactively Administer and Manage the underlying IT infrastructure components from end-to-end, including cloud provider services, on-premise servers and data storage, data / disaster recovery systems, cybersecurity, telephone and end-point devices (i.e. server, storage, PC and related components, printers, faxes, mobile devices, etc.).
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain data backup / recovery plans and operations for servers and storage technologies including but not necessarily limited to software, middleware, hardware, and cloud technologies
  • Provide support to the business applications teams and end-users by addressing questions and resolving problems or escalating appropriately.
  • Implement and test the recovery of backup data or complete system and applications
  • Respond to a server, storage, PC and related components and peripheral equipment installation, software configuration, network assignments, and other related components as needed
  • Work effectively with service providers in a consistent, thorough, and disciplined manner to ensure all applications, systems and data access and performance problems or improvements have been addressed.
  • Develop and document physical wiring and network configurations for main processing areas and company facilities.
  • Monitor network for exception conditions and take corrective action by adjusting system for correct operation or notifying appropriate personnel when problems are diagnosed. This person should be able to resolve complex problems on own with little support from senior management.
  • Manage server, storage, PC and related systems and the related information and procedures to:
    • Ensure users and the company are in strict compliance with software copyright and licensing
    • Maintain the software library and database to ensure all information is current and accurate.
    • Develop and as requested communicate company-wide standards policies and practices.
    • Maintain components IT infrastructure inventory.
    • Monitor and record all associated repair activity.
    • Coordinate the installation of version upgrades from software vendors.
    • Perform or oversee as appropriate any vendor component installation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • 4 – 8 years’ experience managing, configuring, and administrating Windows Server, VMWare solutions, Windows Domain controller, Active Directory, DHCP, DNC, LAN, WLAN controller, switches, router technology, antivirus solutions, sys administration, firewall, and VPN
  • 6 - 10 years’ experience in PC and other end-user device components administration and management.
  • Windows expertise
  • Cisco systems expertise
  • VMware experience (VCDX level preferred)
  • 2-4 years’ experience working with cybersecurity tools such as SSO / MFA / identity management.
  • Efficiently and effectively use Windows Office / Office 365 solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to using ITIL-like processes and supporting applications in a disciplined way to ensure timely and accurate services, and reliable infrastructure environment information.
