Who You Are

A Real Estate Mortgage Loan Officer originates mortgage loans within our geographical territory. You'll take applications, conduct preliminary underwriting reviews, and submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval. You'll also conduct follows-up with your clients to ensure that the documents required for processing, underwriting, and closing are secured in a timely manner from appropriate sources.

This position requires an understanding of the real estate transaction process as well as an ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. Real Estate Loan Officers are self-motivated, analytical, and results oriented. Financial and research skills are also important.

In this role, you will

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of underwriting requirements for various mortgage insurance companies and programs.
  • Possess an ability to work independently.
  • Display an ability to analyze financial information.
  • Show excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Build strong relationships with loan officers, production, underwriting, closing and other internal and external partners.
  • Have an understanding of the valid documentation needed to process consumer mortgage applications.
