Job Description
You will be overseeing our Events Department. This will be both tactical and strategic involvement and planning. You will work closely with our therapy team to plan and execute activities and events that will keep our "Guests" engaged and motivated to complete their therapy and ultimately return home. We will have other Activity/Event Aides reporting up to you, as our census develops. You will be working one on one with patients, in group settings and with our interdisciplinary teams in the centers. This is an active department, with a focus on guest satisfaction, and is so much more than just playing bingo.
Qualifications
What we need from you:- Certified Activity Director (the 36 hour certification course for the state of IL)
- prior experience in a skilled nursing facility as an Activity Director
- Experience with the short term rehab population and creating a calendar specifically geared toward keeping these types of patients engaged
- Electronic medical records experience (Point Click Care or PCC)
