Adecco is assisting a client located in Machensey Park, IL in hiring 2nd and 3rd shift CNC Operators. This is an opportunity that could be either temp to hire or direct hire dependent on experience.Job duties for a CNC Operator include, but are not limited to:
Keep all assigned machines running for production.
Must be able to load parts for all required operations.
Read and understand prints and all information included with prints.
Use or read all basic inspection gages to ensure quality and dimensional tolerances while using various inspection methods and SPC techniques.
Maintain equipment in good working condition by oiling, greasing, and periodically freeing equipment of chips.
Maintain simple records, data sheets, work orders and time cards as required.
Must understand and have the ability to perform basic maintenance on assigned machines. To include checking (and filling if needed) coolant levels, way lube or grease levels, grease chucks when needed, and overall housekeeping such as sweeping, mopping, or wiping down machines.
Follow all safety standards, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
You must meet the follow qualifications to be considered for a CNC Operator role:
2 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment
Must have good working knowledge of basic math, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and decimals.
Must be able to work from written and verbal instructions, as well as blueprints.
Must be able to use basic inspection gages to include ring & plug thread gages, GO and NOGO gages, Mueller gages, Dial Bore gages, both dial and digital calipers, all types of micrometers, scales, and height gages.
