At Bayer you have the opportunity to be part of a culture where we value the passion of our employees to innovate and give them the power to change.Senior Publication Specialist Global Medical Affairs (GMA) Oncology PublicationsYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Publication Specialist Global Medical Affairs (GMA) Oncology Publications, are to:

Ensure that all publications across the Oncology portfolio (abstracts, posters, oral presentations and manuscripts) are reviewed by internal and external stakeholders utilizing Bayer Publication Management tools;

Subject matter expert on Publication Management Tools, and manage data entry and provide metrics on publication-related activities;

Be the owner of the Oncology Publications Portal;

Be responsible for the management of all vendors and associated processes;

Lead the development of publication brochures and other digital enhancements related to publications, and coordinate all appropriate review steps;

Support country/regional Medical colleagues to ensure local publications are reviewed appropriately according to Bayer processes;

Coordinate the development of internal communications on Oncology Publications, including but not limited to monthly newsletters and publication summaries;

Support publication activities at major medical conferences;

Organization and management of scientific communication resources via IT platforms;

Supervise external agencies for publications projects, in collaboration with the Global Publication Leads;

Adhere to Bayer publication processes guidelines, policies, and best practices;

Ability to travel 5-10% of the time (domestic and international);

Support all project management activities related to Oncology Publications within the Strategic Business Unit (SBU).

Bachelor’s or master’s degree;

At least three years of experience in industry, communications agency or academia in a medical/scientific publications role;

Work knowledge of Good Publication Practices for the pharmaceutical industry;

Excellent project management skills with attention to detail and organizational skills;

Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately;

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat;

Positive attitude with collaborative mindset and high degree of responsibility and accountability;

Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with publication management tools (e.g. Datavision, PUBSTRAT);

Oncology experience.
