DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
A technician who assists the Emergency Department staff in carrying out a variety of patient care, clerical and procedural tasks for the patients presenting in the department. x2 shifts 7:00pm- 7:30am & x1 shift
11:00am - 11:30pm.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational
High School Diploma.
At least 18 years of age.
Currently Certified by IDPH as a CNA, currently licensed as an EMT/Paramedic, or equivalent experience.
Certified by the American Heart Association in CPR.
At least one favorable work reference and one personal reference.
Basic computer knowledge preferred.
Completion of a patient care technician approved course desired.
Completion of EKG courses through resources of Morris Hospital within 6 months of hire.
Order entry orientation completed during hospital orientation.
DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
Personal
Evidence of good physical and emotional well being and professional conduct.
Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.
Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.
Ability to follow directions accurately.
Appreciation of and desire to be a part of a health care team dedicated to providing patients optimal care.
