Business Process AnalystDescriptionAs aBusiness Process Analyst II –Horizon Plan manager, you are responsible to ensure the accurate completion of SAP-based OrderManagement Process (OMP) change requests andprojects, through monthly and weekly releases.This includes assigningworkload to team members, ensuring documented processes are followed andaccurate, and ensuring changes are compliant with business and Sarbanes Oxleyprocesses. This position supports the Engine “quote to cash”process.JobDuties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Thisposition works within OMP ECC (with the Senior Business Process Analystsand CPD), along with GIS, and 3rdParty providers (Deloitte &IBM) for each release.MajorActivities:
Plans monthly and yearly ECC releases based on business priority, distributing to Business Analysts based on workload
Ensure Business and GIS follow documented change process and release deadlines are met
Hosts weekly status meetings with Business and GIS
Document and communicate business issues to technical team and vice versa for issue resolution
Ensure changes are compliant with business and SOx processes
Reduce work-around processes to simplify quote to invoice process
Single point of contact for Horizon Plan ECC changes and status updates
The incumbent interacts with experienced internal andexternal end-users to investigate and resolve system issues. Typicalinternal customers include various contacts in Caterpillar worldwideoperations, not limited to: dealers, engineers, shipping and schedulingpersonnel, order analysts, and billing and account coordinators.The positionis challenged to carefully evaluate problems and review a large number ofpossible solutions before selecting one option. Problems may be complexand can require the incumbent to develop solutions. The incumbent setspriorities and establishes a work plan in order to complete broadly definedassignments and achieve desired results. He or she impacts key qualitygoals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness,Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, and Other Measures. Services provided must comply with Sarbanes Oxley rules. The position works to develop innovative processesand/or methods to best use resources or technology in meeting quality goals. Process / system modifications often create significantchange management issues. As a result, the BusinessProcess Analyst II is in a key position to ensure accurate releases forCommercial Process Division.QualificationsBasicqualifications:
4year college degree concentrated in Business Administration, InformationTechnology or related fields
2-3 years project management experience
Topcandidates will also have:
Project Manager Certification
Priorexperience working in SAP Sales andDistribution Module (3 years)
Knowledgeof various Caterpillar Engine products, product applications and pricing
Intermediate understanding ofglobal engine order fulfillment and business processes
Demonstrated initiative and results oriented
Stronganalytical ability or SQL and Excel skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
