Job Title: Mechanical Engineer 1Location: Mossville IL 61552 Curation: 12 Months Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm Description:The main function of a mechanical engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. A typical mechanical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints. Responsibilities: The position will support design development and maintenance of emissions control systems for client's C9-C18 size engines. Primary responsibility will be for design of after treatment systems. Typical Day The position will interact with a global cross functional team to complete design projects. Job activities will include designing components and systems, working with suppliers on design for manufacturability, preparing drawings for release, participating in project meetings, maintaining existing product designs, solving product reliability problems, continually improving existing products for better reliability and cost.Education Requirement •Bachelor''s degree in engineering required. •2 yrs experience in design or product development is required Technical Skills Required•Proficient in CREO •Analytical and problem-solving capability •Familiar with engine and emissions control hardware •Ability to interpret FEA analysis results •Proficient with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing •Ideal candidate will have experience with aftetreatment systems Soft Skills Required •Team player with the ability to work with a diverse global team •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Well organized with an attention to detail
