Job Description
Our team is looking for an associate that is passionate about accounting and finance. The position provides a wide exposure to the world of general accounting, cost accounting, accounts payable, logistics, SAP, IFRS accounting standards, and more. Some of the main tasks include:
- Accurate recording of accounting transactions in accordance with IFRS.
- Prepare month end journal entries.
- Prepare month end account reconciliations.
- Prepare month end reports for Inventory, cycle counts and scrap.
- Monitor inventory in transit from third party vendors, inter-company and within the North American plants.
- Reconciliation of differences between two different SAP systems.
- Assist in resolving SAP GR/IR issues (goods not received or invoice not received).
- Provide necessary support with year end external audit.
- Constantly strive for continuous improvement of processes (CIP) within the area of responsibilities.
- Perform other essential and related duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance from an accredited institution.
- Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and achieve tasks within given deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and analytical capabilities.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Proficiency in other MS Office applications.
- Experience with SAP FI/CO, or proficient with other financial applications.
