Job Description
This internship may partially remote however the hired applicant will be expected to come into the Mount Prospect office from time-to-time. Only local applicants will be considered.The primary focus of the HR Intern is broader based HR projects- this is a tremendous opportunity to learn and explore various HR topics in preparation for launching your HR career!
Potential HR projects could be in the areas supporting career development tools for the organization, talent management and talent acquisition, , HR analytics & event planning/support, personnel branding. You will support the HR Business Partners in moving forward HR topics within the business- this is a highly visible internship role.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated with the past six months from an accredited HR program, at least junior status
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, structured, strong sense of accountability and ownership, organizational skills, and exceptional communication skills combined with an intellectual curiosity to learn
- This will be a yearlong internship so you must be able to commit to 24 - 40 hours a week
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Maintain confidentiality of department and associate information according to established practice
- Previous Marketing classes or projects are a plus
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug and background screen pre-employment
- Position only open to students who will not now, nor in the future require sponsorship to work in the United States
