Job Description
Create something new: You will work in one of our most exciting IT areas - the Bosch Hybrid Cloud -, which enables the Bosch business units to deploy their innovative business models in mobility, industry, smart home, Artificial Intelligence and other areas.
Reliable implementation: In the role of the Cloud DevOps Engineer, you support the Bosch Container Registry team in the design, implementation, operation and further
development of the product. You have a strong technical understanding of containers, Docker and container orchestration tools (e.g: Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, OpenShift).
Integrated implementation: You will ensure that the infrastructure is highly secure, scalable, reliable and monitored (e.g Sysdig, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana).
Help shape the future: You are interested in and informed about new cloud technologies and design the further development of our products, organization and implementation of the Bosch Hybrid Cloud Strategy.
Take responsibility: You are part of our product team and therefore responsible for the fulfillment of the business demands and maintain close customer communication.
Experience cooperation: You will be part of our worldwide Bosch Hybrid Cloud Team which consists currently of multiple product teams in Europe, Asia and Americas.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years or more in-depth professional experience in software development or related discipline. Strong experience in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), container registries. Good understanding of Linux operating systems, server/system virtualization technologies (VMWare, OpenStack) and networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Firewall). Experience with setup and configuration of Logging and Monitoring tools. Experience with Public Cloud is a plus (AWS or Azure).
Knowledge: Advanced Linux Skills, Scripting (e.g., Bash or Python), CI/CD (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Concourse, Artifactory), Configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet) and knowledge in modern cloud technologies such as Kubernetes and Container registries. One or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C# or similar object-oriented language).
Working Practice: solution-oriented, analytical and entrepreneurial mindset. Organized and structured, Good team player, responsible and comfortable in an agile working environment (SCRUM)
Enthusiasm: Interest in current and emerging IT cloud technologies. Adapting to newer technologies, different tools and frameworks.
Communication: Strong presentation, verbal communication and written communications skills, including technical documentation. Interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a global cross functional team.
