Kelly Engineering Resources has an outstanding long-term contract/contract to hire opportunity for an Electronics Engineering Technician . In this role, you would work for the prototype and product development end of a company that make printed circuit boards. You will specifically work on Surface Mount Boards where you will:

Hand solder SMT boards

Trouble shoot prototypes

Manual or automated testing for circuits

Programming and set up of the equipment on the SMT line

Essential Responsibilities:

Inspect assemblies as they come off the assembly line to ensure they meet IPC or documented quality standards.

Repair, when possible, electrical circuits using standard soldering methods and techniques.

Hand solder through-hole (PTH) and surface mount (SMT) for purposes of low-volume production, test development, or product development.

Assemble circuits for development purposes by following written drawings, sketches, and verbal instruction.

Perform basic electrical test and measurement using digital multimeter (DMM), power supplies, and oscilloscope. Record measurements in spreadsheets or written journals.

Cut, splice, and crimp wire assemblies.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications of the Successful Electronics Technician:You must have the following proficiencies:

Hand soldering of wire, through hole, and surface mount devices.

Ability to work with a microscope.

Ability to use basic test instruments such as multimeter, power supply, and oscilloscope.

Basic computer skills including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Ability to read electrical schematic.

Pluses

Equipment maintenance or set up of surface mount equipment

Education/Training Requirements:

High School Diploma required, Associates Degree in Electronics highly desired

IPC-A 610 certification a plus
