Job Description

We are seeking a Developer/Architect with modern software engineering practices (Continuous Integration, Specification by Example, Behavior / Test Driven Development – BDD, TDD) and respective tools, to become a part of a dynamic, well versed IT team. In this role, you will work under minimal designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and supporting high-performance, innovative web-based applications. The ideal candidate will be experienced with analyzing and troubleshooting complex software problems and providing solutions/workarounds while providing recommendations for application/system improvements.

If you have a strong working knowledge of developing web sites and applications using a variety of technologies and best practices; then this is an exciting opportunity to augment your current skills, as well as learn new technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
  • Experience integrating proprietary applications with commercial software through API’s, FTP, or other B2B data exchange workflows
  • Collaborate with IT PM in documenting and capturing software requirements in the form of epics, features, user stories, process models and use cases in an agile development environment
  • Work with customers at all levels of technical ability by assisting them in the customization and development of application systems
  • Review existing documentation to understand system functionality and use that information to implement functionality in the modernized proprietary software
  • Continuously improve software engineering practices
  • Write unit tests and automated acceptance tests
  • Provide guidance and training for the development, maintenance, and updating proprietary software/applications
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
  • 10+ years of experience:

    • System integration
    • .NET, Java, C#, PHP, html, XML, json
    • SQL
    • Security Protocols, encryption knowledge.
    • Web services, API, -use and creation-.

  • Flexibility and adaptability that goes along with a growing environment
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of management and technical personnel
  • Comfortable working in an undefined environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills
