You can’t get anything more solid or larger than that! As a Dragline Operator , your primary function is to operate power-driven crane equipment with a dragline bucket to excavate or move sand, gravel, mud, dirt or other materials.This position will be based in Nokomis , IL

Assist in greasing, cleaning, oiling, and performing minor repairs on equipment.

Maintain constant communication with all other operators.

Assist other operators or maintenance personnel when heavy or awkward duties are required.

At the start of the shift perform a pre-shift inspection.

At the end of the shift park and report defects to the supervisor.

Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and Company regulations including but not limited to: wearing property safety gear and attending safety meetings, perform pre-trip inspections, complete vehicle inspection reports, and report unsafe conditions and accidents.

Proactively manage the health & safety of employees to continuously improve the company’s health and safety performance.

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

High school diploma or general education (GED) preferred.

Availability to work overtime and multiple shifts as needed.

Working knowledge of equipment operation and open-pit mining preferred.

Must be able to carry 50 pounds.

MSHA – trained a plus.

Complies with all State, federal and local guidelines.
