Job DescriptionWould you like to join Fortune 7 CVS Health leading our dynamic and growing Trade Relations team? You will have the opportunity to utilize your analytic, financial and strategic skills to support the development of pharmaceutical procurement strategies that directly contribute to the bottom line of a Fortune 7 organization.The Advisor, Trade Relations person will assist the Specialty, Traditional and Medical Contract Negotiators during the development, implementation, execution, performance monitoring and issue resolution with all Specialty, Traditional and Medical contracts and services. While the contract is in development, the Advisor will work alongside Trade Negotiators and manufacturers to assess manufacturer language changes, provide comments, and support contract development in regards to rebates. Both during and upon contract is implementation, the Advisor will serve as the liaison between Trade, Contract Administration, and Program Operations to implement and deliver on agreed upon contract language, monitor performance, monitor invoicing, monitor adhering to committed timelines, proactively identity issues and problem solve. The Advisor will need to create a process to continually implement and assist in the development of new contract language and implement bid structures that meet business needs. The Advisor will also support and represent Trade on Trade initiatives and Program Initiatives as they arise.Additional Responsibilities Include:The Trade Relations Advisor position plays a key role in engaging negotiators and manufacturers, facilitating the creation and implementation of strategies in existing and new areas to minimize client drug spend. You will be expected to analyze, research, and prepare presentations and recommendations for negotiators.

Assisting with strategic initiatives, including working in a cross functional team environment on multiple projects at a time and handling needs from the Trade Relations organization.

Partnering with Trade negotiators and analytic and finance teams to characterize and develop strategies in and understand of complex therapeutic areas.

Track and communicate the performance of existing initiatives and monitor the competitive landscape

Liaise with Contract Administration, including prioritization, work-flow and issue resolution

Identify and manage contract language exceptions.

Required Qualifications

3 or more years of experience in contracting.

Preferred Qualifications

5 or more years of experience, preferably in healthcare, managed care, health plans, or PBM with a focus on contract management

High level of knowledge of pharmacy benefit capabilities and pharmacy benefit operations.

Project management or health care consulting experience

Ability to work independently and proactively recognize opportunity to improve processes and proactively identify and solve problems.

High standard of professionalism, excellent verbal and written skills are required in order to communicate effectively with multiple internal departments and levels

Presentation and public speaking experience

Travel up to 10% of the time.
