Enteprise Architect - Development FrameworksUSA, Illinois, Lake CountyNewInformation TechnologyRequisition #2002107Responsible for managing the Data, Solutions, Business, and/or Technology architectures and tying them to Enterprise Architecture initiatives. For large projects with multiple systems, the enterprise architect is responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies, working primarily with senior management and technical specialists across functional disciplines. Coaches the application and technical specialists in the multi-system application architecture. Responsible for existing design of supported applications as well as overall AbbVie application architecture. Develops the architectural governance and processes for managing the enterprise data, solutions, and/or infrastructure portfolio. Aligns the enterprise portfolio with business application needs and objectives. Consults on major systems strategies and implementations.Key Responsibilities Include:
Review customer's architecture strategy to ensure adequacy. Ensure the architecture supports the requirements of the business process.
Evaluate and recommend architecture changes based on technology and business trends; establish architecture principles, guidelines and standards.
Provide strategic perspective and alignment, lead governance efforts and architecture reviews, and contribute to the refinement of various methodologies in use.
Provides strategic consultancy support to clients, Senior Technical Specialists and other technical architects in all aspects of enabling technologies to meet business needs. Provides expertise on architecture design or improvement. Considers the performance impact of the architecture.
Conduct technology evaluations and provide technical advice on the adoption/integration of new solutions to drive business value; participates in defining business case of investments in IT.
Effectively anticipates and evaluates the impact of proposed solutions that affect multiple functional areas of the organization.
Leads and coordinates efforts of hardware, network and database architects in application design and implementation.
Aware of and applies industry standard problem-solving tools and techniques appropriate to area of specialization.
Fosters the development of a common vision, providing clear direction of roles, responsibilities and priorities. Takes the risk to address difficult issues, standing firm when necessary, for the betterment of the company, department or process.
Thorough knowledge of requirements impacting the customer; aware of industry-standard processes and best practices
Identifies opportunities to leverage/reuse solutions for multiple customers.
Understands Abbvie's business processes and how they affect the way systems are designed across business groups.
Bachelor’s Degree plus 10+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred. Advanced degree preferred.
At least 10 years experience in a variety of IT roles responsible for the delivery of business solutions, including business process analysis, solution design, application development, and data structure design.
At least 4 years of experience designing and implementing solutions leveraging No Code or Low Code frameworks. Should be able to clearly translate business requirements into no code (or low code) solutions.
Experience developing SalesForce.com and Outsystems solutions is a plus.
