Summary: We are hiring a IT Desktop Asset Specialist in the Greater North Chicago area. Will be expected onsite 100% of the time. This role assist in desktop hardware and software procurement, deployment, control and compliance. Assist in maintaining software license compliance. Adhere to purchasing system policy and overall Abbott purchasing requirements. Ensure that the desktop hardware and software asset inventory systems are maintained and accurate.Please no 3rd Parties at this time.
Top Skills: Excel skills - the more advanced, the better Excel, Pivot Tables, Filters, etc. Research and Report - metric reports that are pulled every month, record Required: Bachelors Degree preferred High School graduate with sufficient experience in computer operations or finance helpful. No advanced degree required. 1-3 years of experience. Basic knowledge of regulations and standards affecting desktop software and hardware compliance. Basic knowledge in the use of the entire Microsoft Office suite. Excellent Customer support skills. Basic knowledge in records keeping, statistical analysis and reporting. Some knowledge of desktop operating systems and application support. Responsibilities: Responsible for assisting in the effectiveness of the PC hardware and software asset system. Support PC replacement processes according to policy. Assist in providing metrics necessary to support desktop asset functions. Assist in maintaining accurate and updated hardware and software information in the inventory database.
