Job Title: Project Manager/Business System analyst

Location: North Chicago, IL 60064

Duration: 12 months

DescriptionThis Project Manager / Business Systems Analyst position will work directly with the business area Global Compound Logistics and Operations (GCLO) and be a key team player on a new Sample Management Program rollout. This role will have split tasks between being the project manager (overseeing and managing multiple projects to completion) as well as a business systems analyst (working directly with business leads and understanding their processes).

Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed project plans to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Oversee implementation of multiple projects from beginning to completion
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report project statuses and identify when to escalate issues to management as needed
  • Document and understand business processes (start to end) related to sample management
  • Work with the business to identify inefficiencies/pain points within processes
  • Recommend data driven solutions to improve/establish new efficient processes
  • Coordinate meetings with business and IT leads to define requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the business, project team and colleagues

Key Skills – Required:
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years BSA and Project Manager experience required
  • Experienced in compound management or inventory management in pharmaceutical/healthcare companies would be preferred
  • Experienced in writing requirements for projects in pharmaceutical/healthcare companies.
  • Experienced with working within a R&D and life science group
  • Experienced working with multiple groups and cross functional departments.
  • Be able to effectively communicate progress and status of requests to team and leadership.
  • Ability to manage project tasks and deliverables to target dates and timelines.
  • Ability to conduct effective team meetings both onsite and virtual (Teams).
  • Experienced in managing technology deliverables or documents from requirements through implementation.
  • Increased ability to effectively solve problems when issues are identified.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong business-facing and internal communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Collaborative, positive, self-motivated, team player.
  • Experienced with MS Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Smartsheet, MS Teams.
  • Contract term estimated around 2 years
