As a member of the Infrastructure Business Insights team you will be directly involved in a ground-breaking program built to enable data-centric decision-making and solve next-generation technology problems for AbbVie’s employees across the globe. You will have a unique opportunity to act as a detective, digging into, mining, and visualizing large and complex data sets from a number of sources to identify issues and trends that will drive stabilization and transformation across the technical landscape for our multiple global stakeholder groups. This role will help design and operationalize a data strategy and governance model for our growing infrastructure analytics competencies, ultimately driving the future of data insights for our department. Partner with the team lead to develop and implement the data strategy and operational framework for the Infrastructure Business Insights program, with an emphasis on predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Develop the stakeholder governance process as a forum for decision making based on data.
Closely partner with enterprise Infrastructure and business leaders to identify opportunities for technical improvement for both current and future state.
Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of technologies related to the storage, transfer, integration, visualization, and analysis of large and complex data sets.
Influence the accuracy and user experience of Infrastructure analytics platforms and reporting solutions.
Implement controls for standardization and data integrity.
Demonstrate ability to be highly autonomous and productive in performing activities, requiring only minimal direction from or interaction with supervisor.
Seize opportunities to pursue relevant leads that are in line with the group’s strategy.
Act as a steward for infrastructure data and reporting.
Partner closely with the Business Insights Manager to establish data-driven communications, standards, and deliverables for technical health.
Develop and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including technology and business leaders.
Lead, coach, and mentor others, as well as influence partners in a cross-functional environment, with a customer-centric and global perspective.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, related field, is required, typically 12 years of experience. Masters Degree preferred.
Exceptional ability to interpret data and identify trends, and turn data into actionable insights.
Strong drive to optimize and seek innovative and creative ways to solve business problems with data.
Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
Must be deliverables-focused and detail-oriented.
Must exhibit collaborative style and ability to work effectively across teams in a highly matrixed organization.
