DescriptionOur client, an innovative and rising company, is looking for a long-term temporary Senior Financial Analyst with leadership experience and an eye for detail. The Senior Financial Analyst consultant will serve as the main point of contact for financial issues such as project spending, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting. In this position, you will provide decision-making support for future company investments, as well as perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments in support of public reporting requirements. This Senior Financial Analyst role will be situated in Geneva, Illinois.How you will make an impact
Collaborate with Functional leads to execute management reporting, accounting and compliance advisement, and coordinate alignment of operational initiatives
Track financial results with greater accuracy and discretion by working with Operating and Accounting to drive improved management reporting
Handle ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests
Develop business, operational, and financial processes to be repeatable and understandable for all necessary teams
Optimize business performance by identifying and executing financial analysis
Manage advantageous relationships with Finance/Accounting leadership of integral business partners
Drive existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to senior management
Evaluate financial results, summarize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly reporting to senior leadership

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Solid proficiency in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
Prior experience with process reengineering and optimization
Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
7+ years experience in operations finance necessary
Ability to apply critical thinking and critical decision making skills with management
Highly skilled with Microsoft PowerPoint
Experience with Pricing Changes
Expertise in Ad Hoc Financial Analysis
Pricing analysis experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Complex Financial Analysis
Deep understanding of Contract Pricing
CPA or MBA preferred
Proven ability to work cross functionally and influence key decision makers
Finance or Business BA/BS degree or one in a related field required
Expert Microsoft Excel skills required
