Junior Software Engineer

Location: 100% Remote

Great opportunity for a Jr. Software Engineer who is looking to continue taking their career to the next level! The core responsibility of this role is to ensure the consistency, availability, reliability, and performance of technology solutions. This position reports directly to the Director of Engineering and will work closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, analysts, and product owners.

Job Description:

Responsible for quality of code delivered.

Responsible for operational availability and reliability of code delivered.

Responsible for technical documentation for areas of subject matter expertise.

Participate in on-call support rotation for high severity production issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

2-4 years' experience building systems with a variety of technologies (React, NodeJS, Java, etc.).

Experience implementing cloud-native solutions, preferably in AWS.

Preferred experience building solutions in a containerized environment, preferably Kubernetes.

Experience developing against relational (Postgres, Oracle, etc.) or non-relational (Redis, MongoDB, etc.) database systems.

Ideal candidate has experience with monitoring systems and APMs such as CloudWatch, Nagios, Datadog and/or working in a DevOps/SRE culture.
