Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for steering the financials and driving the profitability improvement of the legal entities in the US and Canada (total annual sales 1B USD).
This is a business partnership role that will focus on the following:
- Prepare and develop financial analysis, including a thorough interpretation of results, to be able to communicate findings in executive summaries.
- Act as a true business partner for senior leadership, including meeting with them regularly, supporting all requests, and answering all related questions.
- Lead critical reviews and analysis of annual forecasts, budgets and monthly performance.
- Analyze and provide recommendations regarding potential risks and opportunities to the business.
- Use internal customer insight to identify and execute process improvement opportunities, including automating existing reports, and steam-lining processes to increase efficiency.
- Conduct Sales / Margin / ad hoc analysis to help provide recommendations regarding potential risks and opportunities to the business.
- Be proficient in data mining while correlating multiple data points to identify, synthesize, and recommend business decisions and direction.
- Initiate and complete projects within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) area as well as participate as commercial counterpart in regional and global projects for Automotive Aftermarket.
- Assist with presentations to support CFO and Regional President.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent area of study. MBA or CPA preferred.
- 5-8+ years of corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and accounting procedures, knowledge of other departments' procedures relative to financial, budgetary analysis and internal availability of operational data.
- An understanding of Robert Bosch practices a plus.
- Ability to understand/ solve complex issues, summarize and provide accurate advice required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills (both written and oral).
- Strong analytical and organization skills.
