OverviewSuperior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, Inc. Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, Inc. was started in 1959 with one ambulance and today is the largest independent, locally owned, and operated emergency medical services provider in the Midwest. Superior employs more than 2,500 licensed EMT, Paramedics and Nurses, operating a fleet of more than 500 ambulances throughout Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Superior also provides Critical Care, helicopter, and fixed wing emergency medical transportation. Illinois Medi-Car, a unit of Superior Ambulance Service, has immediate openings for full-time drivers to transport wheelchair-bound individuals to healthcare facilities, hospitals, testing laboratories, etc. ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties and responsibilities of an IMC Driver consist of, but are not limited to the following:
Must demonstrate adequate levels of skill in all areas required of a Medi-Car Driver, including the ability to move a wheelchair up and down stairs, in and out of the Medi-Car.
To provide appropriate patient care as stipulated in their training as a Medi-Car Driver.
To provide safe transportation, to include accurately discerning street names through map reading, the ability to correctly distinguish house numbers, and addresses of business locations, in the most expedient manner, are essential.
To provide appropriate documentation for billing information.
To maintain the vehicle in sanitary condition, in addition to monitoring all fluid levels and gauges, and report all mechanical problems with vehicle immediately.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Must have successfully passed the Company's required lifting test, Map test and successfully completed the interview process.
Functional communicate and write in English language.
Valid drivers license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
