This administrator is responsible to Imaging leadership for the supervision of activities and specialized functions relative to developing and maintaining PACS and coordinates all work activities related to the System. If so, we need to talk. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Perform software implementations and updates.

Assist in the identification and resolution of all hardware, communication, and cabling issues.

Provide notification of scheduled upgrades and scheduled/unscheduled downtime.

Perform patient record overlays.

Assist in connecting new or re-allocated equipment to the PACS for DICOM communication.

Manage the day-to-day operation of PACS equipment including image workflow, archiving, auto-routing, and pre-fetching, voice recognition, physician hanging protocols, PACS security, and other related activities.

Analyze and interpret reports and provide progress updates of the system as needed.

Collaborate with the medical director and/or the appropriate physicians in the development for modification of test procedures and protocols.

Maintain records and reports, prepare and update written protocols, policies, and procedures.

Support the voice recognition dictation system that Radiologists utilize, and assist them in their initial set up and troubleshoot any related problems.

Work closely with the radiology information services leadership in the development of strategic planning for medical imaging initiatives.
