The Insurance Clerk II - PH UTILIZATION REVIEW reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The work involves performing clerical duties of a moderately difficult nature relating to hospital quality management. Performs a variety of advanced clerical tasks, using electronic software applications, to insure the proper maintenance and distribution of hospital utilization records, reports and related documents. Works under the general supervision of the Utilization Review Manager. High school graduate with some post high school business courses desired. Six months to one year previous clerical and insurance verification experience required. Above average communication skills necessary; typing and numerical ability required. You will work under general supervision, processing patient and commercial billing; including verification of Insurance to ensure a clean billing process. Handles all inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts.
