Under general management, The Cloud Security Architect is the go to technical expert on public, private and hybrid cloud security strategies and technologies. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring coordination across various stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, with hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/P. It also requires an ability to speak in the many languages of business, as comfortable presenting at the executive level as when deep diving on tech matters with IT personnel.The following are the key accountabilities associated with this role:• Drive Strategyo Work with a broad internal team as the deep technical expert to create a 1-3-year cloud protection strategy that maps out business objectives, technical requirements, and customer trends, with recommendations on whether to build, buy or partner in new areas.• Change Mindsetso Help internal (and sometimes) external customers decide upon cloud security strategies, while evangelizing and recommending solutions as appropriate. The cloud architect will act as a trusted technical and business advisor to internal technology teams while aiding the futurization journey. • Build Capabilitieso Lead training and enablement initiatives within the security team, ensuring that we have the right capabilities and the right people to ensure that the corporation's digital and related assets are secure.• Subject Matter Experto Participate and present at industry events & conferences. Educate internal teams on industry trends (DevOps, micro-segmentation, containers & Kubernetes, etc.) and act as a key interface to the technology platform and product management teams for prioritization, planning, and architecture.Responsibilities• Develop strategic protection roadmap for, acting as the technical expert to help deeply understand needs, and evaluating internal development, partnership, and software & services acquisition opportunities to help meet those needs.• Demonstrate strong understanding of cloud and cloud security architectures and engage in technical discussions with enterprise and solution architects.• Develop secure architecture standards, requirements, policies and documents.• Collaborate to establish architectural standards that enable DevSecOps practices such as infrastructure as code, and automated continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).• Provide technical guidance and foster a collective understanding of security issues encountered in cloud applications and services.• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Education & Experience• Direct, hands-on experience designing and implementing security solutions on one or more of the major cloud platforms.• Deep understanding of cloud architecture and cloud security challenges and solutions, as well as operating systems, networking, authentication, and programming and scripting languages.• One or more of the following certifications, or equivalent expertise and experience: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Security Engineer.• Exposure to financial services domain is a big plus.• Demonstrated track record of providing strong competent technical leadership on multiple projects, required.• Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak both to technical audiences, as well as to level business decision makers.• Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Computer science with a minimum of eight or more years of experience in IT infrastructure and security. In lieu of education, 10 or more years' experience is acceptable.Knowledge Skills and Competencies• Advanced experience with designing cyber security solutions with enterprise-wide impact• Expert knowledge of information security best practices, technologies and concepts.• Deep architectural knowledge of core information security functions and controls including firewalls, identity and access management, vulnerability management, network security, threat detection/SIEM etc.• Strong knowledge and understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Automation and Orchestration• Proven ability to collaboratively plan, document, and present security strategies, achieve buy-in from IT leadership and manage the strategy implementation process.• Thought leadership of emerging technologies and their impact on security architectures: service orientated architecture, enterprise frameworks, etc.• Comfortable working in cross-functional and multidisciplinary
