Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. As the Product Manager for our Global Payroll application, you ll be the interface between the market, our customers and product development, using your skills to identify customer needs and market direction, and to communicate these requirements to guide our future product development. Working closely with an international and multi discipline team you will liaise with UX designers, developers and information design to deliver and communicate the design and deliverables.You ll be part of the wider application family at Oracle, and enjoy being part of an international organization with offices across the globe.The ideal candidate will be driven and motivated and will have the ability to engage all stakeholders. You must encompass an in-depth understanding of the end-to-end payroll cycle including payroll processing, reporting and payroll accounting. Previous hands-on experience of payroll implementations is mandatory.Specific responsibilities include:

Understanding and gathering requirements from our global customers, industry experts and Strategy team

Designing and enhancing product and features, in collaboration with the software development team

Assessing market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products

Using your industry knowledge in collaboration with senior leadership to develop and maintain the strategic plan for product portfolio.

Developing, maintaining and communicating the software roadmap.

Collaborating with our Release Readiness team to communicate and launch new software releases.

Person specification:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)

Previous hands-on experience of payroll implementations is essential.

A proven track record working as part of a cross-functional team delivering quality solutions.

Excellent analytical and written and verbal communication skills.

Experience as a payroll practitioner is an advantage.

Experience of working across a range of software products and applications, and working with dispersed teams
