Sr. Data Engineer

Opportunity OverviewHospitality company is currently seeking a Sr. Date Engineer for a 6 month contract 100% remote opportunity in the Chicago area.

Must have:• Excellent SQL skills• Hands on experience in data pipeline development using modern ETL tools (Informatica)• Hands on experience in trouble shooting complex ETL and SQL problems• Hands on experience with AWS cloud architecture and development using AWS resources like S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, etcGood to have Skills:• Hands on experience in programming languages, including C, Java, SQL• Hands on experience in Java Spring, Java Spring boot framework (preferred)• Hands on experience in web development• Experience with Informatica MDM is a plus

Requirements for the Sr. Data Engineer • At least 5 years of hands-on ETL experience• At least 7 years of hands-on SQL experience• Strong, hands-on experience with Unix• Proven analytical skills• Informatica experience strongly desired• Clear communication skills.• Ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment• Experience with Java is a plus.• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Data Engineer Experience and Skills:• Experience working as an application designer and software developer for enterprise applications• Hands-on software troubleshooting experience• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities• Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering, requirements analysis, design, development, and testing• Knowledge/Experience of database design and file management techniques• Knowledge/Experience of Service Oriented Architectures• Knowledge/Experience of Web based Architecture
