Job Description - Full Stack Developer (Node/Javascript) - REMOTE

FULL STACK DEVELOPER - NODE/JAVASCRIPT

An established and growing eCommerce organization is seeking an experienced Full Stack .NET Developer to join their team. As a Full Stack Developer you will deliver solutions using full stack Javascript (ReactJS, Node.js, jQuery) and other modern web technologies in our rapidly evolving products. You will develop solutions built for sustainability and performance and will improve the architecture to handle our growing customer base. You will collaborate closely with product managers, testers and other developers to design, test, code, deliver and support software within an Agile Scrum environment via website architecture built on a cloud infrastructure. This position requires experience in full stack Javascript and website architecture in a highly collaborative, exciting, and fast paced atmosphere that requires great communication skills. The Full Stack Developer should be able to work with both custom and package software.

Responsibilities:

Participate with business stakeholders in the definition of their requirements.

Develop detailed designs that align with the business requirements functional and process specifications.

Assist with technical design and architecture, unit test plan (where needed), functional program design, and technical program design (where needed).

Develop a function point analysis estimate of work effort required to complete the business requirements for projects. If this requires Technology work outside your Technology domain, work with that domain's estimates so that the overall estimate encompasses the complete solution.

Project management: Create and maintain the Technology work plan using department approved project management tools; supervise progress; report progress against work plan; log, track and manage the resolution of project issues; frequently review progress with Technology management and business stakeholders.

Construction: Ensure programs are well-structured, well-documented and written to standards; conduct walkthroughs, review code and/or mappings, review unit tests.

Testing: Collaborate with Quality Engineering in the preparation of test environments and execution of system tests. Develop and assist with execution of user acceptance tests. Coordinate user service requests.

Installation: Participate in installation of software and execution of conversion.

Post-installation support: Monitor system and coordinate user service requests.

Develop, measure, communicate and manage agreed to service levels for data currency, accuracy, and availability.

Requirements:

College degree in an applicable field of study or comparable experience

3 years of Full Stack Javascript web development with a preferred focus on public-facing solutions

Experience in full stack Javascript (ReactJS, AngularJS, Node.js, jQuery)

Experience with HTML and CSS

Experience working with APIs

Experience with relational databases like SQLServer, MySQL, NoSQL experience a plus

Good background in using built-in browser tools like Chrome Developer Tools

Practical understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns in a web environment

Experience with Unit Test frameworks like Cypress, Mocha/Jasmine, Selenium and mocking frameworks like Moq

Experience with BitBucket/Git for source control and prototyping and discovery

Experience working with Cloud first architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus

eCommerce experience is desired but not required

Great collaborator and communicator with teammates and business partners

Strong written and verbal communication skills
