Job Description - Product Development Manager - Remote
As a Product Development Manager (aka Consultant) on our Client's Professional Services delivery team, you will lead Desktop-as-a-Service and application streaming product development initiatives with large customers from different industries and business sectors. Your success will be most notable when you help a customer transform their vision into reality with a Desktop-as-a-Service or Application Streaming technology on AWS. Establishing this product delivery channel is important because a customer's productization of end user computing technologies on AWS evokes measurable or qualifiable value for the customer. The Product Development Consultant guides organizations through uncovering their product vision, assessing their current state, and developing roadmaps and strategies to achieve their desired outcomes. The Product Development Consultant leads the product management effort from product inception through launch on behalf of the customer. Within an engagement, the Product Development Consultant is accountable for mobilizing a cross-functional product team. They leverage connections and partnerships within our client's organization, AWS, and the end client. They lead the product team to synthesize clear definitions of the target customer and product/service offering. They identify and prioritize requirements, they plan and maintain the roadmap, and they collaborate with technical/design teams. The Product Development Consultant also aligns the team to a product development framework that supports the project objectives, scope, timeline, and budget. As a Product Development Consultant, you can expect the following work:- Lead discussions with prospective and current customers.
- Participate in presales process to align customer vision and purpose with development outcomes.
- Explore DaaS/SaaS products, markets, and industry trends to inform recommendations.
- Align customers and/or delivery team members to a product management/development framework.
- Partner with product owners/sponsors to define long-term strategy and create product roadmaps.
- Partner with project management and technical delivery to oversee and drive development of both short and long-term engagements.
- Motivate and engage a product team.
- Gather customer input to inform product development.
- Manage expectations and gain buy-in across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Apply agile methods to create MVPs to prove concepts and evolve to marketable solutions.
- Balance between managing strategic roadmap and tactical execution.
- Navigate the business and technical sides of a situation.
- Experience building product vision and strategy.
- Prioritize product features to accelerate ROI.
- Support strategic initiatives and product/service delivery development
- Join/hold webinars, lunch and learns, and partner discussions to stay abreast of current technologies.
- Support marketing efforts through content creation, such as blogging, white papers, and social media participation.
