THIS POSTION IS FULLY REMOTESoftware Development Engineer in TestAs a SDET you will lead key automated testing efforts on critical projects including integration and ETL, customer facing web applications, and reports and data analytics. You will help train and mentor development teams in best practices building and maintain integration and end to end tests as well as participate in software design to help ensure code and components are being built with testing in mind. Responsibilities
- Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components and systems.
- Understanding project requirements and product objectives to create and execute test cases.
- Setting up, maintaining, and performing test automation frameworks on multiple applications
- Working with deployments teams, resolving level issues for systems, coordinating on product design, and offering inputs on the testability of functional elements and product designs.
- Analyzing software systems and coordinating with other teams to enhance the overall design.
- Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.
- Managing the final quality on production release.
- Mentoring and evangelizing testing best practices among development teams.
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3+ years direct experience as an SDET for major application integration and/or major application product release
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automation tests and framework libraries to verify the functionality and reliability of our software (Azure Service Bus, ADF, Micro Services, Back End Services, APIs,)
- Must be Proficient in C#
- Apply a thorough understanding of relevant technology to deliver robust test suites. (Web Technologies, REST APIs, Web Services, Java, Angular, JS, CSS, and HTML)
- Conduct regular code reviews to ensure that best practices are always followed. Automation code should be easy to extend and support
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing (Jenkins, Azure, etc.)
- Use creativity and initiative to improve product test reliability, coverage, and accuracy.
- Experience working collaboratively with peers and coaching more junior team members
- Deep expertise in test automation frameworks for front end and back-end scenarios and experience building framework from scratch
- Direct hands-on experience with continuous integration and deployment tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
- Experience with data warehouses
- Experience with data analytics
- Knowledge of EDI files and integrations
- Knowledge of logistics
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
