Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:Develop robust Control Plans for Production Quality Control. Update with lessons learned through continuous improvement activityEnsure continuous control over materials, facilities and productsResponsible for the mitigation of customer complaints and is the point of contact with the customerReviews control of nonconformance material disposition and inspection of reworked productMinimize internal and external sort cost activitiesAccurately outlook sort cost through tracking and reportingTrouble-shoot and problem solve on the production floorDrive Internal quality control requirements (boundary sample boards, hourly check sheets, work instructions, operator visuals, lot-control, defect accumulation sheets)Work with Manufacturing to insure all necessary paperwork for each program is accurate, in place and understood by the teamInsure daily monitoring and posting of customer measurablesMeasure prototype, pre-production and serial parts during product launchResponsible for all serial PPAP documentationInternal product audits (develop schedules, assist in [emailprotected], monitor action list)Perform capability studies with clear understanding of what the data is telling youPerform gauge R&R with clear understanding of what the data is telling youFacilitate and lead problem solving activity through the 8D Process, DMAIC Principles, and 5-Why Problem Solving SPC (Proficient) Programming – will teachInterpret SPC to make sound judgement on part quality. Clear understanding of Cpk, Ppk data Assist manufacturing engineers with RPN reduction - creating and enhancing our PFMEAs and Control Plans based on lessons learned Assures that actions are carried over to similar programs/components Good Safety Practices in accordance with ITW objectives Contribute to the Company Quality Objectives
Qualifications
Experience:1+ years manufacturing experience in role of Quality EngineerStrong communications skills both written and verbalComputer Skills – MS Word, Excel and PowerPointRoot cause analysis techniquesGood measuring skillsAble to read prints. GD&T experience a mustMust be able to work in a team or individual environmentSelf-motivated individualMust have the ability to pay attention to detailMust be able to work a flexible shift, including overtime and weekends
