Job Description TITLE: Senior Cloud Engineer

DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC seeks Senior Cloud Engineer in Riverwoods, IL to be responsible for the technical design, deployment, monitoring and ongoing support and maintenance of a diverse set of cloud technologies. The role is a technical, hands-on opportunity with a heavy focus on automation, resilient design, and deployment of cloud ready systems and services. Collaborate with Product teams, internal and external, to Infrastructure Services to provide world class products and services in support of application development community, and business as a whole. Responsible for the full-stack engineering and support of products that support our hybrid cloud capabilities. Lead the design, build and maintenance of modern cloud platforms that support agile teams. Partner with key stakeholders as a platform champion for cloud-native systems, and coach on how to use platform capabilities effectively through appropriate venues. Drive continuous improvement of cloud products and capabilities through internal user groups and external market research. Promote a risk-aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.

REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) platforms, including services such as Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), DynamoDB, Simple Storage Service (S3), Route53, Simple Queue Service (SQS), Simple Notification Service (SNS), CloudWatch, Key Management Service (KMS), Relational Database Service (RDS), and Secrets Manager; utilizing managed Kubernetes platform, including OpenShift Container Platform (OCP); developing Java web applications, including J2EE technologies and Spring boot; working with coding languages, including Java and Python to implement required business functionality; utilizing testing methodologies, including Unit testing and Integration testing; utilizing AWS serverless computing services, including Lambda; working with AWS security, including security groups and Identity Access Management (IAM) to manage access to cloud platform; working with tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, SQL developer, Github, HashiCorp Terraform, HashiCorp Vault, Ansible Tower, ServiceNow, Apache Tomcat, IBM WebSphere, and Chef to perform development, deployment and support of cloud platforms and products; performing technical design and deployment, and providing monitoring, ongoing support, and maintenance for a diverse set of cloud technologies; collaborating with internal and external product teams to provide products and services to support business teams; writing programs to implement design specification(s) using AWS cloud technologies and coding languages, including Python, Java, AWS CLI, and Lambda; collaborating with stakeholders such as business and enterprise teams on production deployment and migration activities; and deploying and supporting software applications and infrastructure in Development, Stage, and Production environments.
