Job Description TITLE: Senior Manager, Software EngineeringDUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC seeks Senior Manager, Software Engineering in Riverwoods, IL to be responsible for the application ownership, development delivery, and support for value streams. Manage a team, including hiring, directing, mentoring, and assigning work. Manage software ownership and development from initial concept through continuous improvement. Coach and mentor team members. Support individuals to achieve their individual development goals. Utilize Agile and Lean practices to identify and solve systemic issues. Utilize tools to support data driven decision making. Identify and remove blockers to enable the team to meet business goals. Consult with management in the analysis of short-and long-range business requirements and recommend innovations. Promote a risk aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or related position: utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) data services, including Lambda, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Step Functions, and Data Pipeline to design efficient processes and applications that meet business requirements; utilizing Hadoop technology stack and programming using Java, Python, and R applications to develop local and cloud hosted applications; utilizing programming languages, including SQL, Unix, HiveQL, and SparkQL; working with business partners and higher management to analyze business needs and innovate new ways to improve processes for business risk models and strategies; utilizing SQL and Relational Databases to develop custom data pipelines for the development and deployment of data driven applications, including predictive business risk models, low latency, and high availability; and working with Unix and Shell scripting to deploy applications hosted on multiple platforms.
